Description
A pedestrian suspension bridge (footbridge) spanning a river, drawn in elevation and site plan. The elevation shows the suspended deck slung between the towers with its main cables and hangers dipping in the characteristic catenary; the site plan sets the bridge out across the watercourse with its approaches, anchorages and the riverbanks and vegetation either side – the layout used for a light cable-supported crossing on a walking or cycling route.
Use it as a scaled starting point on a landscape, park or civil drawing to show a river crossing in context and check the span and approach set-out, then adjust to suit your site.
