Description
A typical steel base plate detail for a 310UB40 universal beam column, drawn at 1:10 with a plan view over the four-bolt pattern and a full section through the footing. The detail calls up a 16mm base plate with Ø26 holes and 5mm plate washers, holding-down bolts on an overlength threaded rod (trimmed to two turns of thread above the nut after the column is installed), and a U-shaped rod cage tapped M20 at the top and tack-welded to form the cage cast into the concrete.
It gives you a ready, engineer-style standard for a column base you can trace, dimension and drop into a set of structural steel drawings, then adjust the plate, bolt gauge and embedment to suit your own design loads.
