Description
An orifice plate detail for stormwater flow control, drawn in elevation and section at 1:5. A minimum 5mm stainless steel plate with a sharp-edged, machine-cut orifice is bolted over the end of an outlet pipe using galvanised dynabolts, epoxied to the wall and sealed with silicon around its edges – the arrangement that restricts discharge from a detention tank, pit or basin to an approved release rate.
The plate is sized to the outlet pipe diameter plus 40mm, and the orifice is cut to the diameter your hydraulic design calls for, so the detail is a reusable standard you drop in and dimension to suit each on-site detention (OSD) or stormwater-management job.
