Description
A sediment fence detail for erosion and sediment control on building and civil sites, drawn as a clear 3D pictorial. Geotextile fabric is fixed to posts or steel pickets driven 600mm into the ground at 2000mm maximum spacing, with the base of the fabric turned into a backfilled trench and a 100mm minimum vertical overlap where lengths join – the barrier that traps sediment-laden runoff at the downhill edge of a disturbed area before it reaches drains or waterways.
Sediment fences are a standard requirement on erosion-and-sediment-control plans and construction environmental management plans, and this annotated detail gives you a ready version to drop straight in and reference from your site plan.
