Description
A precast concrete headwall detail for the end of a stormwater pipe or culvert, drawn in plan, elevation and section with a product schedule. The headwall is the flared end structure with splayed wing walls and an apron that retains the embankment, supports the pipe outlet and directs flow into or out of the pipe. The schedule lists the product codes against pipe size and the nominal dimensions A to H, along with the lifting arrangement for craning the unit into place.
It is a ready civil/drainage standard you drop into a stormwater or culvert drawing and select the precast unit to suit the pipe size, rather than detailing a cast-in-place headwall.
