Description
A typical air handler (AHU) mounting detail, showing how an air-handling unit is hung on anti-vibration mounts so it does not transmit noise and vibration into the structure. The unit hangs on M12 threaded rod through a 75 taper-flange channel, isolated by a proprietary vibration-control damper, with a spacer and a fail-safe washer under the channel and a locknut or spring washer below – the arrangement that carries the unit while breaking the structure-borne path.
A small schedule sets the make, number per AHU, model number, hole diameter and static load rating, so the sheet works as both a detail and a selection guide. Drop it into your mechanical drawings and edit the mount to suit the unit weight.
