Description
A typical motorized damper detail for HVAC ductwork, drawn in plan and elevation, showing how a motor-operated (control) damper is mounted in a duct and tagged. The damper blade runs on a shaft through the duct wall to an external actuator, with the MD tag shown, so the branch can be opened, closed or modulated automatically by the building controls – the standard way to shut down or balance an air path.
It is a reusable mechanical-services standard you drop onto a duct layout, with the note to allow sufficient service clearance to the actuator as per the manufacturer’s data sheet.
