Description
A typical external wall section detail (type W1) drawn at 1:10, showing an acoustic upgrade to an existing timber-framed wall from the roof line down to the floor. The detail carries the full build-up in one section: Lysaght Spandek roof sheeting on a permeable underlay over R3.0 ceiling batts, 13mm Gyprock Fyrchek plasterboard, existing timber studs re-lined with Bradford Soundscreen R2.5 batts and 6mm cement sheet, and a new cement-sheet floor overlay on the existing joists – giving an approximate acoustic Rw value of 60.
Every layer is annotated with product names, sizes and fixing notes, so it works as a reference standard you can trace, adapt or paste straight into a set of renovation and acoustic-upgrade drawings. Drop it in against your floor plan and note the wall type where this build-up applies.
This is one of a coordinated set – see also Wall Details W2, W3 and W4 in the architectural details category. A free AutoCAD DWG download.
