Description
A flexible duct specification sheet for HVAC drawings, setting out the three grades of flexible (flex) ducting a mechanical job typically calls up. Uninsulated flex is described as an aluminium/polyester film laminated core over a coated spring-wire helix that holds its diameter through bends; insulated flex adds a glasswool blanket (R 1.0) inside an outer vapour-barrier sleeve on an aluminised fabric core with a mechanically locked helix; and insulated-and-fire-rated flex adds a reinforced multi-layer aluminium laminate jacket – each with a typical proprietary product named.
