Description
A typical air-conditioning unit or fan-coil (FCU) mounting detail, showing how a fan coil is hung on anti-vibration mounts so it does not transmit noise into the structure. The unit hangs on M10 threaded rod off an M10 Dynaset anchor set into the slab, isolated by a proprietary vibration-control damper, with a 40 × 40 × 3 angle (or a folded 1.6 galv sheet channel) bolted to the fan-coil mounting holes and a fail-safe washer and locknut below.
A small schedule sets the make, number per FCU, model number, hole diameter and static load, so the sheet doubles as a selection guide, with a note on the recommended 8mm spacer. Drop it into your mechanical drawings and adjust the mount to suit the unit weight.
